For as long as I can remember and even before I knew it was an actual profession, I’ve wanted to be a filmmaker. Since a young age, I’ve always been intrigued by observing other director’s perspectives and views on life or whatever circumstance or scenario presented to me through this beautiful medium. Films have always been my safe haven. In the 2000 Taiwanese film “Yi Yi” (And 1 And 2), a character speaks a line that I’ll truly never forget, and I plan to use it as the rooting for all of my future project endeavors. “There isn’t a cloud or tree that isn’t beautiful, so why shouldn’t we be?”. I truly believe that there isn’t another form of art that can fully encapsulate real emotion and true authenticity, and there isn’t anything I’d rather do than capture my own perspectives and views.
